Cookwala / Contribute
Most ways to help need no code
Cookwala is maintained in public. Every contribution is credited in the changelog; every change to the standard goes through an RFC with a public comment period. There is no membership and no fee.
Pick one
Review a rule pack
Dietitians and food-safety officers: two hours with the template; your profession and outcome are recorded, your name is not.
Review template →Review the envelopes
Food scientists and cooks: are the bands for 57 operations right? Propose corrections with evidence.
Operation envelopes →Add a recipe — anyone can
By pull request, by a GitHub issue if you don't use git, by the cookwala submit command, or by API. Your own work or someone else's, credited either way.
Write a recipe for the standard itself
cookwala init my-dish, add an end condition to every heat step, validate, send a pull request with your name on it.
Translate
Step sentences, vocabulary labels and site pages; Arabic is first class and more languages are welcome.
Contributing guide →Implement a device or a hub
Against the reference hub; publish a conformance report; list it in the directory.
Conformance path →Attack the agent benchmark
New prompt-injection cases, more cuisines and languages, multi-turn and image attacks.
Benchmark →Propose an RFC
Problem, proposal, alternatives, migration, open questions; 30 days of public comment; safety-relevant ones name a reviewer.
RFC process →Tell a food bank or a school
The concept note is written for a first conversation; a program that wants to talk is a partner from the start.
Concept note →Critique the simulators
Every assumption is listed and adjustable; tell us which are wrong and by how much.
Findings →How decisions are made
Small fixes: a pull request and one maintainer. Vocabulary entries and vendor namespaces: a pull request, 7 days. Spec changes: an RFC, 30 days of public comment, a decision with written reasons. Safety-relevant changes also need a qualified reviewer. A steering committee with seats for device makers, food banks, dietetics, privacy, a low- or middle-income country and labour takes over once there are independent adopters, under published numbers. Governance · Security policy · Contributor Covenant 2.1 applies.

Contact
Issues and discussions on GitHub are the public channel: github.com/amado2k5/cookwala/issues. Labels: humanitarian, health-review, education, rfc, device.
Security and safety problems: GitHub private vulnerability reporting, as in security.txt.
A direct contact address for programs, funders and press will be added by the founder; until then, open an issue or a discussion on GitHub. There is no form on this site because there is no backend and no privacy notice to go with one.

GitHub Discussions today. A monthly call and a quarterly "state of Cookwala" with real numbers are planned once there are contributors to call. Arabic-language channels are planned alongside.
