Original steps
- Boil the water and butter together, then remove from heat.
- Add the flour and a pinch of salt to the boiling water all at once while stirring constantly.
- Place back over low heat and stir continuously for 5 minutes until it forms a ball, then remove and set aside to cool.
- Add the eggs and vanilla to the dough one by one, mixing well after each addition.
- Prepare a lightly greased baking sheet and pipe small pieces of choux dough about the size of a large hazelnut, leaving space between each one.
- Bake in a hot oven until cooked through and the surface is firm.
- Let them cool, then they can be sliced open and filled with chantilly cream or pastry cream.
- Arrange the profiteroles on a deep serving platter and pour the chocolate sauce over them.
