Original steps

  1. Dissolve the cornstarch in about half a cup of cold milk.
  2. Place the remaining milk over medium heat and sweeten with sugar until it reaches a boil.
  3. Dissolve the chocolate or cocoa powder into the sweetened milk.
  4. Take about one large ladle of the boiling milk and pour it over the cornstarch mixture, stirring well until smooth.
  5. Pour this mixture into the rest of the boiling milk, stirring well after removing from the heat.
  6. Return the mixture to low heat for approximately 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  7. Add the vanilla, then pour the pudding into small molds lightly moistened with cold water.
  8. Leave to cool, then garnish with nuts and raisins, pistachios, coconut, sliced bananas, strawberries, or cherries.
  9. Garnish with grated chocolate, nuts, or chocolate ice cream.
