Original steps
- A grown-up melts the butter in the microwave.
- Put the semolina, sugar, coconut and baking powder in the bowl.
- Add the yogurt and melted butter.
- Stir with the spoon until everything is mixed.
- Spread the mix in a greased tray and smooth the top.
- Mark squares or diamonds with a butter knife.
- Press an almond into the middle of each piece.
- A grown-up bakes it at 180°C (350°F) for 30 minutes, until golden.
- The grown-up pours the cold syrup over the hot basbousa. Tssss!
