Original steps

  1. Rinse the rice in the sieve until the water runs clear.
  2. Put the rice and water in the pot.
  3. A grown-up cooks the rice in the water for 10 minutes.
  4. The grown-up adds the milk and sugar and cooks it on low heat for 25 minutes, stirring.
  5. The grown-up stirs in the vanilla and pours it into bowls.
  6. Let it cool, then put it in the fridge.
  7. Decorate with cinnamon and raisins.
