Original steps

  1. Whisk the egg with the salt, pepper, lemon juice, and vinegar thoroughly using a wire whisk.
  2. Carefully add the oil drop by drop until the consistency thickens somewhat.
  3. Place the mayonnaise in a bowl, add the mustard, and mix well.
  4. Transfer to a very dry jar and refrigerate.
