Original steps
- Combine the baking powder and flour, then add half of the sugar and mix well.
- Melt the butter in a pan, add the sliced apples and the remaining half of the sugar, cook until the apples are soft and absorb the mixture, then set aside to cool.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the buttermilk and vanilla, then add the flour all at once and mix slightly.
- Prepare a Pyrex dish and arrange the apple pieces inside, topping them with orange zest.
- Pour the batter over the apples without stirring, then refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Bake in a medium-heat oven, keeping an eye on it as it cooks quickly.
- Invert the pancakes onto a serving plate.
