Original steps
- Mix the nuts with the coconut, raisins, and sugar.
- Place a portion of the filling into the Qatayef shells, then fold them in half, pressing the edges to seal them.
- Fry in hot ghee or oil until golden, then remove from heat.
- Dip into cold simple syrup, remove quickly, and place on a serving plate.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of crushed pistachios or hazelnuts.
