Original steps

  1. Combine the sugar and water in a pot and heat over medium heat for two minutes until boiling and the syrup thickens slightly.
  2. Place the coconut in another bowl, then add the sugar syrup once it has cooled slightly and mix well.
  3. Spread the coconut mixture into a medium tray and press it down firmly by hand.
  4. Top with raisins, chopped nuts, and pistachios, pressing them firmly into the coconut mixture.
  5. Place in the refrigerator until cold and firm, then cut into squares.
  6. Alternatively, toast the coconut in a non-stick pan without butter until golden, then prepare as described in the previous steps.
