Original steps
- Cream the ghee and sugar together thoroughly until the mixture reaches a creamy consistency.
- Whisk the eggs with the vanilla, then add them to the sugar and ghee mixture and whisk well.
- Mix the flour with the baking powder, then add it to the mixture until a suitable dough forms.
- Pipe the dough onto an ungreased baking sheet using a petit four machine or a piping bag to create fingers or rose shapes.
- Bake in a moderately low oven, then let them cool completely after removal.
- Sandwich pairs together with jam and decorate the tops with melted chocolate and nuts.
- Cocoa powder or melted chocolate can be added to the dough to make chocolate petit fours.
