Original steps

  1. Beat the eggs and vanilla well, then add the ghee, sugar, milk, and lemon zest.
  2. Add 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder and mix well.
  3. Optional: add 2 tablespoons of raisins, apricot jam, bitter orange jam, fruit compote, or chopped ripe fruit such as apples.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixed with the baking powder until the quantity is finished.
  5. Grease the pan with ghee and lightly dust with flour over the ghee, then pour in the cake batter and bake in a medium-heat oven until done.
  6. Once cooled, flip the cake onto a plate and garnish by pouring hot melted chocolate over the cake.
  7. After cooling, you can garnish the top with peeled hazelnuts or walnuts.
