Original steps

  1. Slice the oranges and sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
  2. Prepare a baking tray greased with a little butter, then arrange the sugar-dusted orange slices side by side in the tray; you may also sprinkle coconut or nuts over the oranges.
  3. Whisk the eggs, sugar, vanilla, and lemon zest together, then pour the mixture over the oranges and top with butter.
  4. Bake in a medium-heat oven until the top is golden brown.
  5. Once cooled, garnish with chantilly cream, placing fruit such as strawberries or pineapple in the center of the cream, and surround with pistachios, crushed nuts, or according to your preference.
