Original steps

  1. Slice the beef lengthwise into strips and season with salt, pepper, and spices.
  2. Heat the oil or ghee in a pot, add the beef slices until browned, then remove them from the pot.
  3. In the same pot, add the sliced onion and sauté, then add the beef slices along with the tablespoon of tomato paste; cover and leave over low heat.
  4. Add water whenever the beef needs it until it is nearly cooked through.
  5. Add the half cup of milk to the beef over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
