Original steps

  1. Wash the shrimp several times to ensure all sand is completely removed.
  2. Slice the onions into rings and layer them in the pot, alternating with the shrimp, celery, spices, a little salt, and lemon juice.
  3. You may add a little water if the shrimp are large in size.
  4. Cover the pot and place it over low heat, stirring constantly until cooked through.
  5. Remove the pot from the heat and shake it well so the shrimp do not stick together.
  6. Serve as desired, either in the shell or peeled, with tahini salad or a white seafood sauce.
