Original steps

  1. Chop the onion, tomatoes, parsley, dill, and mint if using fresh.
  2. Place the vegetables in a blender with the salt, pepper, and spices.
  3. Wash the rice and drain it thoroughly.
  4. Place the mixture in a pot over medium heat with the ghee or oil and lemon juice, and bring to a boil.
  5. Mix the ingredients well with the rice until it is ready for stuffing.
  6. The rice can be replaced with cooked minced meat (see Bab Al Louhoum).
