Original steps

  1. Place a portion of the filling inside the qatayef, then fold them in half, pressing the edges together until they stick.
  2. Fry in hot ghee or oil, then remove and place on paper towels.
  3. Sprinkle with grated cheese and serve.
  4. Qatayef can also be stuffed with cheese and butter mixed with chopped arugula.
