Original steps

  1. Boil the chicken in boiling water with the onion, cardamom, mastic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Remove the chicken and place it in a strainer, then season with salt and pepper.
  3. Blend the large onion, approximately ¼ kg of tomatoes, one small green bell pepper, the garlic cloves, and the tablespoon of vinegar in a blender.
  4. Prepare a cooking pot and add 2 tbsp of oil (or as desired); once the oil is hot, pour in the blended mixture, season with salt and pepper, and let it come to a boil.
  5. Add enough chicken broth to the mixture and bring it back to a boil.
  6. Add the vegetables and simmer on low heat until tender.
